Effective January 15, 2021 New Regulations/Urgency Ordinance enacted by the City of Big Bear Lake to further Code Compliance's authority to levy fines and evictions for violations of requirements of Immediate Household, maximum of 2 vehicles, parking and noise disturbances
Effective December 14, 2020 Restrictions expanded to limit occupancy of Vacation Rentals to Immediate Family Households
IMPORTANT INFORMATION, PLEASE READ
If you plan to visit Big Bear during the State's stay-at-home restrictions:
- Your group MUST originate from the same immediate household,
- You may bring no more than 1-2 vehicles,
- USE OF OUTDOOR SPA OR OTHER OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES PROHIBITED FROM 10PM - 7AM,
- No Parties, Gatherings, Events or Neighborhood Disturbances
Our State/County and Cities of Big Bear Valley Management have issued the following:
“Vacation rental owners and managers have been advised to cancel or modify all reservations for the next few weeks to ensure that all guests in a unit originate from the same household, and that only 1 or 2 vehicles are present at all units."
Per the City of Big Bear Lake: “If there are occupants of a vacation rental that take all precautions, are respectful, are from the same household, limit it to one or two cars, and otherwise behave appropriately, they should be fine. If they are obviously flouting the rules, they will be directed to leave.”
City staff will be patrolling all vacation rental units to ensure compliance with the same household requirement. Violators will be evicted from the unit. If all or a portion of your group is directed to leave there will be no refund.
If you ARE from the same household and do not plan on bringing more than 1 or 2 vehicles, please be sure you are familiar with the general California restrictions as they apply and are enforced here in Big Bear.

We are requiring that our guests sign a certification when they check-in to verify compliance with these restrictions. We are required to confirm that each of our guests have received this information and are able to comply. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
We hope you stay safe!
